State Bank of India is a public sector bank founded on 1st of July, 1955 in financial services. 

It was previously operated under the name of Imperial Bank of India which descended from three major banks i.e Bank of Calcutta, Bank of Madras and Bank of Bombay.

Republic Day 

Republic day celebrations will be conducted on the 26th of January in all the states of India.

Vasant Panchami

Scheduled to be celebrated on the 5th of February, this day marks the arrival of spring as people in India pay respect to the Goddess Saraswati.

This day is celebrated by offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati and asking for guidance to excel in the various fields of study, art, craft, and even sports.

In some places, this day is celebrated by giving study materials such as pens, pencils, and notebooks to the needy person. We observe this day by eating sweets and offering prayers to the Goddess. 

Guru Ravidas Jayanti

Guru Ravidas or raidas was a poet, social reformer, and popular spiritual figure. He made a significant contribution to the field of spirituality during the 13th and 14th centuries.

This day is celebrated with joviality and happiness in most parts of North India. Celebrates the birth anniversary of Guru Ravidas on 16 February 2022.

Maha Shivaratri

This day is popular with various names in different parts of India and is celebrated as per the unique costumes of every state.

For example, In Tamil Nandu’s Annamalai temple, this day is observed by walking barefooted to the temple and seeking the blessing of lord shiva. The annual celebration of Maha Shivratri is scheduled to be celebrated on 1st March.

Holi

Ram Navami

This day is entirely dedicated to Lord Ram and is celebrated by reciting the stories related to Lord Rama and offering prayers to him. Celebrating the birth of Lord Rama, Ram Navami will be celebrated on 10 April 2022 in India.

Mahavir Jayanti

As per the name, this day is celebrated to honor Mahavir who was Mahavir also the twenty-fourth and last Tirthankara of present Avasarpiṇī, and an important figure in the Jainism culture. On 14 April the birth anniversary of Lord Mahavir will be celebrated.

Dr. Amberdkar Jayanti

The birth anniversary of Dr. Amberdkar will be celebrated on 14th April.


Good Friday

15th April is the day of celebrating peace and atonement among christians all around India through the Good Friday occasion.

Idul Fitr

Ramadan is scheduled to end on the eve of 2nd May which makes the 3rd of May the day when Idul Fitr will be celebrated nationwide. Since most Islamic festivals revolve around the moon, we celebrate this day following the moon.

Bakrid

Independence Day

Janmashtami

S. Bhagat Singh Ji Jayanti 

A holiday designated on September 28, 2022 on the occasion of S. Bhagat Singh Ji’s Jayanti, is specifically in the State of India and not a national holiday.  

Gandhi Jayanti

To celebrate this day, various charitable functions are organized in various parts of the country. The birth anniversary of the father of the nation, namely Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi will be celebrated on 2 October.

Vijaya Dashami

This is one of the most popular festivals of Hindu culture and is celebrated in various nations worldwide apart from India. 5 October marks the celebration of Dussehra, the day when lord Rama defeated the demon king Ravana.

Maharishi Valmiki Jayanti

This day is celebrated with Shobha yatras and with much enthusiasm. It will celebrate the birth anniversary of Balmiki on 9th October.

Diwali
