Kut

Kut Festival or Chuang kut is an Autumn festival in Manipur for different tribes of Kuki-Chin-Mizo groups. They have a history of more than 3000 years

This festival is celebrated in Manipur on the 1st of November every year. It is the autumn harvest festival and one of the biggest festivals in Manipur.

Puducherry Liberation Day

It is celebrated in Puducherry for its liberation from the French on 1st Nov 1954. Shere Khan Lodi in 1673 gave away Puducherry to the french.

In a referendum in which out of 181 votes, 174 were against French rule. This day is celebrated on the 1st Nov of every year and later on 16 Aug 1962, it merged with the Indian Union.

Haryana Day

The day marks the formation of the state of Haryana. It was on the 1st Nov 1966 that the Saha commission separated the border of Punjab and created Haryana.

But instead of splitting the capital of Punjab, Haryana became the union territory of Punjab and Haryana. In ancient times this geography was known as Brahmavarta or Aryavarta.

Karnataka Rajyotsava

This day marks when all the south Indian Kannada speaking people come together as one called Karnataka. This happened on 1st Nov 1956.

Kanakadasa Jayanti

Kanaka Dasa born in Thimmappa Nayaka on 3rd Dec 1509 was a famous poet, philosopher, and musician. And his work is in the Kannada language. 

He was a known social reformer for equity and justice. This day is celebrated on the 18th day of the kartik month as per the Hindu calendar.

Guru Nanak Jayanti

This day observes the birth anniversary of the Guru Nanak Jayanti.

He was the first guru of the Sikhs among the ten others and he is the founder of the Sikhism this day falls on the 15th of the lunar day of the Kartik months let the Hindu calendar. He wrote the Guru Granth Sahib, a holy book in Sikhism containing hymns.

Seng Kut Snem

Seng kut snem is celebrated on the 23rd of November in Meghalaya. The state is also known as the Tribal Land. 

This festival belongs to the Khasi community which is one of the largest communities in Meghalaya. At this festival, they mainly show their different culture of dance, music and traditions.

Martyrdom day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji

On this day Sri Guru Ted Bahadurs' death anniversary is celebrated. He was the ninth guru of the Sikhs; he was publicly executed in 1675 by the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Delhi for not accepting any other religion other than Sikhism.

Every year the 24th Nov this day is marked as the Martyrdom day of Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji.
