1. Ramdev Jayanti (6th September)

4. Indra Jatra (9th September)

Indra Jatra is celebrated by the people of Nepal and Sikkim to worship Lord Indra, who is known as the God of Rain and his mother Dagini to seek their blessings for the harvest season in the form of a good rainfall.

5. Shree Narayana Guru Jayanti (10th September)

This is a public regional holiday in Haryana which is observed to honour the heroes who sacrificed their lives to save Haryana and the nation. On this day, the freedom fighter Rao Tula Ram passed away.

8. First day of Bathukamma (25th September)

Bathukamma is a 9-days festival celebrated by people of Telangana and in some parts of Andhra Pradesh to celebrate the beginning of the ‘Sarad’ or ‘Sharath Ruthu’.

9. Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti (26th September)

The holiday for Maharaja Agrasen Jayanti is a regional holiday which is observed in the states of Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh to celebrate his birth anniversary.

10. Ghatasthapana (26th September)

It is believed that on Ghatasthapana, Goddess Shakti brings more power and energy to the lives of the devotees and this festival is celebrated by the people of north India during the 9-days Navaratri festival.

11. S. Bhagat Singh Ji Jayanti (28th September)

Bhagat Singh is known for his contribution and sacrifice to make the country free from the rule of Britishers and so on 28th September his birth anniversary is celebrated to pay him a tribute.
