Second Saturday

Reserve Bank of India launched guidelines stating that banks are not allowed to function on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month.

In Kolkata, the banks remain closed on 8th Jan, 12th Feb, 12th Mar, 9th Apr, 14th May, 11th Jun, 9th Jul, 13th Aug, 10th Sep, 8th Oct, 12th Nov, and 10th Dec following the guidelines.

Fourth Saturday

Banks do not function on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month. This has now come into effect after the RBI released a set of guidelines with this new rule.

In Kolkata, the banks remain closed on 22nd Jan, 26th Feb, 26th Mar, 23rd Apr, 28th May, 25th Jun, 23rd Jul, 27th Aug, 24th Sep, 22nd Oct, 26th Nov, and 24th Dec according to these guidelines.

Swami Vivekananda Jayanti (12th January)
