IPL Winner List

IPL Winner List

Want to know about IPL Winner List ? Well you have landed on the right article Indian Premier League or IPL is a professional Twenty20 cricket league for men.

It is the second-largest sports league in the world after the National Football League. The first season of IPL was started back in 2008 with 8 teams and the latest edition saw 10 teams competing for the trophy.

Founded by the BCCI, the league features all the top cricketers from around the world. The players are selected for any team based on an auction.

The tournament also invites bidding for its sponsorship and so far companies like DLF, Pepsi, Vivo, TATA and Dream11 have sponsored the events.

The tournament also earns huge money by selling its media rights. BCCI has earned around Rs. 48,000 crores for selling its TV and digital broadcasting rights for the year 2023-27.

The popularity of IPL can be determined by the fact that the cost of all the teams in 2008 was approx. Rs. 3,000 crores and in 2022, the brand value of only the new two teams GT and LSG is more than Rs. 15, 000 crores.
