The energy of God, also known as Vindhyavasini, or Ekanamsha, is a kind aspect of Durga. She has been recognised as an Adi Parashakti variant. She was born at Nanda's home to a Yaduvanshi Gopa (caste) family and was Krishna and Balarama's sister.
In Uttar Pradesh, near Vindhyachal, on the banks of the Ganges River, her temple is situated a few kilometres from Mirzapur. Another shrine, known as the Bandla Mata Temple, is situated in Bandla, Himachal Pradesh.

Significance
Devi Mahatmya, a significant scripture that depicts the Great Goddess in a variety of incarnations or forms, mentions Vindhyavasini (Mahadevi). She is also referenced in Vindhya Mahatmya, a local text from the first half of the 19th century.
She is perceived to be the absolute truth in both cases. She is equated with Parvati, who is seen as the height of divinity. One of India's most respected Shakti Peethas is the temple.
Vindhyavasini Devi is often referred to as Kajala devi in popular culture. Vindhyavasini Devi is a representation of Goddess Kali. The temple is frequently visited by large people, particularly during Navaratri in the Hindu months of Chaitra and Ashwin.
The Kajali festival, a traditional competition, is held here in the month of Jyeshtha. According to Vindhyachal, the Shaktipeeths were created on earth, wherever Sati's body parts fell. However, Vindhayachal is the location and a Shakti Peeth where Devi chose to live after her birth.
