How To Become Army Officer

According to the website, applicants can enter the Indian Army on a number of different occasions to become an officer.

  • There are 300 vacancies available at the National Defence Academy a couple of times a year, with 195 joining the Indian Army. NDA aspirants are required to be between the ages of 16.5 years and 19.5 years old and have a minimum academic qualification of 10+2.

  • Ten+2 Tech Entry Scheme: Admission is based on 85 open vacancies twice a year. We are looking for applicants who are between 16.5 and 19.5 years of age and have passed their 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths (PCM) at 70%.

  • Two thousand Indian Army candidates are recruited twice a year for the Indian Military Academy (Non-Tech). A graduate from a recognized university and between the ages of 19 and 24 is required.

  • (Non-Tech): There are 175 vacancies for each course twice a year. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a recognized university and be between the ages of 19 and 25.

  • There are 50 vacancies every half-year on the short service commission (tech women and men) for which the age requirement is 19 to 27 years old and the education requirement is BE/BTech. An arch, MSC in computer science.
